IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, appointed Stephanie Miller as Director of its Western Europe Department, which covers relations with 20 Western European countries, the European Union, and Israel. The appointment of Miller, who is based in Paris, became effective on October 1.
Investors representing over two trillion dollars of assets under management as of September 23, issued an Investor Statement on Green Bonds and Climate Bonds, committing to grow a global market in the financing of climate change solutions. At the same a group of 13 development banks, investors and issuers committed themselves to further developing the Green Bonds market.
There were more M&A deals1 completed globally in the third quarter of 2014 than in any prior equivalent period for the last six years according to Towers Watson's Quarterly Deal Performance Monitor (QDPM).
