Wall Street n'a prêté que peu d'attention à la révision de la croissance du PIB américain pour le premier trimestre, qui a fléchi de 1% (contre +0,1% initialement attendu). Là où les indices européens manquent d'entrain – les investisseurs du Vieux Continent optent pour la prudence avant la réunion décisive de la Banque Centrale Européenne du 5 juin – la Bourse américaine est bercée d'euphorie.
Les dernières séances ont été influencées par des courants contradictoires. D'un côté, les investisseurs ont pu apprécier les newsflows positifs relatifs aux résultats d'entreprises, les publications de Facebook et d'Apple ayant fait figure de catalyseurs à Wall Street.
À la veille de la trêve pascale, les marchés boursiers européens manquent d'impulsion. Les investisseurs ont semble-t-il peu d'appétit pour le risque et préfèrent ne pas initier de position en cette période « creuse ». Pourtant, les récents « newsflows » venus d'Europe et des États-Unis semblent encourageants…
Après avoir profité de la publication des minutes de la Réserve Fédérale hier, accueillie positivement par les investisseurs boursiers, les marchés actions subissent une correction marquée. Les indications des responsables de la Réserve Fédérale suggèrent que la banque centrale avancera prudemment sur la voie d'un relèvement de ses taux.
Somme toute logiques, les annonces de la FED ont jeté un coup de froid sur les marchés boursiers. Le resserrement progressif des conditions monétaires ne devrait pas impacter les actifs boursiers outre mesure.
