announced
that
Sir
Merrick
Cockell
will
take
over
as
its
acting
Chairman.
The
position
is
a
natural
progression
for
Sir
Merrick,
who
joined
the
LPFA
Board
in
October
2010
and,
as
its
Deputy
Chairman
since
January
2013,
has
steered
the
organisation
through
much
of
its
strategic
shift.
Global investors have shifted their attention from Greece to China amid continued concern of a Chinese recession, according to the BofA Merrill Lynch Fund Manager Survey for August. Respondents are scaling back their expectations for economic growth.
Equity investments returned -0.2 percent, and fixed-income investments -2.2 percent. The return on these investments was 0.4 percentage point higher than the return on the benchmark indices. Investments in real estate returned 2.0 percent.

Norges Bank has decided to exclude the companies IJM Corp Bhd, Genting Bhd, POSCO and Daewoo International Corp from the investment universe of the GPFG. The companies are excluded based on an assessment of the risk of severe environmental damage.
